Terms of use
Draft for legal review, 8 October 2026. Text in [square brackets] is for the owner to fill in or decide.
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [legal business name], [postal address] ("MyWellth", "we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use MyWellth.
What MyWellth is
MyWellth is a self-directed financial-wellness education tool: guides, worksheets, a wheel to track your progress, and reminders. It doesn't give personal financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and nothing in it recommends a particular product, provider, amount of cover or investment. Calculated results are estimates to help you think things through. For advice about your own situation, please talk to a qualified professional.
Who can use it
You need to be at least [18] and able to make a binding agreement. MyWellth isn't available in Quebec yet. One account is for one person.
Your account
Keep your password safe and don't share your account. You're responsible for what happens in it. Tell us at hello@mywellth.ca if you think someone else has used it. Please give a real email address and confirm it: we need it to reach you about your account, and you need a confirmed email before subscribing.
Your free month
New accounts get 30 days free, with full access, and no card needed. When the free month ends, if you haven't subscribed, your account becomes read-only: you can still see and download everything you've entered, but you can't add or change entries until you subscribe.
Subscriptions and payment
- Plans. Monthly or annual, at the prices shown on the subscribe page, in Canadian dollars in Canada and US dollars elsewhere. Sales tax is added where it applies.
- Subscribing during your free month doesn't cut it short: your first payment is on the day it ends.
- Renewal. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. We'll tell you before any price change takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.
- Cancelling. Cancel at any time from Settings. You keep full access until the end of the period you've paid for; then your account becomes read-only. [Refunds: we don't refund part-periods, except where the law requires. Owner and lawyer to confirm.]
- Pausing. You can pause for one to three months with no payments, and carry on whenever you like.
- Payment problems. If a payment fails, our payment provider tries again over the next few days and everything keeps working meanwhile. If it can't be collected, your subscription ends and your account becomes read-only.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Their terms also apply to your payment.
Your entries
What you write in MyWellth is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide MyWellth to you, as our privacy policy describes. You can download it or delete it at any time from Settings.
If your account is read-only and you don't sign in for 12 months, we'll delete it and everything in it, after emailing you a month before.
Reminders and emails
Reminders are optional and you can change or stop them in Settings. We'll always send essential emails about your account, such as your free month ending or a payment problem.
Using MyWellth fairly
Please don't misuse MyWellth: no trying to reach other people's accounts or entries, disrupting the service, copying or reselling the content, or using it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close an account that does, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Our content
The guides, worksheets, wheel, designs and software belong to MyWellth or the people who license them to us. You may use them for your own personal use while you have an account, including printing your worksheets. Please don't copy or share them for other purposes.
Availability and changes
We work to keep MyWellth available and your entries safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep a downloaded copy of anything important. We may change or improve MyWellth; if we remove something important you've paid for, we'll tell you first.
Responsibility
MyWellth is provided for education, and any decisions you make about your money are your own. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses from decisions you make using MyWellth, or for indirect or unforeseeable losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that can't be limited.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. If you have a subscription, it's cancelled straight away. [No refund for the rest of the period: owner and lawyer to confirm.]
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app at least [30] days before the change takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of [province] and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you live elsewhere, you keep any rights your local consumer-protection laws give you.
